original gold bug

I don't own a GB but do have the GB2 ( just got it and haven't had a chance to hunt with it yet ), I really wanted to buy

a GB but new ones are no longer available. There is no reason why a GB would not make a fine nugget hunter today

just as it was for all those years that it was made. The world just has to keep having new and improved is all.

I will be teaming my GB2 up with my Garrett Scorpion and MineLab SD2200d and plan on starting any hunt with the GB2

to locate a patch, then switch over to the Scorpion, and then go to the SD so as to hunt any patch by layers and size,

starting with the very small stuff and working up to the larger and deeper as I go. This will be a hard trio to beat.

IMO the original GB is still a good nugget hunter. It is deeper than the GB2 on a decent sized nugget, the biggest disadvantage is the lack of a disc. and is not as sensitive on super small pieces of gold.
