ORIGINAL COINSEARCH COIL: IS IT WATERPROOF?

John(H)

Member
....This is the 8 inch coil on a Sovereign XS and I mean for shallow water hunting!..............Also how does one determine the targets depth.............maybe want to dig deep targets only.....................................THANKS.............Joe

The 8 inch or the 11 inch coinsearch were not waterproof, but the BBS coils that were made later were waterproof.
The depth with the Sovereigns we tell by the sound of the targets and how big the targets are, a smaller sized and weaker means it is deeper and those that we just barely hear and are repeatable when doing the Sovereign wiggle we know are very deep as the tones and meter readings will be trying to climb, but may never get the correct readings. Most of things you learn about a Sovereign and get good with it you will learn from experience.
