PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - In exchange for his guilty plea in an Oregon murder case, a New York man is getting fried chicken, mashed potatoes, lasagna, calzones and ice cream.

Last month, 33-year-old Tremayne Durham admitted to fatally shooting Adam Calbreath in June 2006.

Calbreath was an employee of an Oregon company that had sold Durham an $18,000 ice cream truck.

Durham later decided he wasn't interested in becoming an ice cream man after all, so he tried to get a refund.

But the company said no dice, which is when Durham came to Oregon and killed Calbreath.

Durham agreed to plead guilty to murder last month, but only if he could get a break from jail food. The judge agreed, and granted Durham a feast of KFC chicken, Popeye's chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, carrot cake and ice cream.

After yesterday's sentencing, his defense attorney confirmed, Durham gets the rest of the deal - calzones, lasagna, pizza and ice cream.

Under the terms of the plea deal, he has a chance for parole in 30 years.
