Ordered the Gold Bug 10" Elliptical

So my three coils will be the 5" NEL Sharp, Stock 11", and my new 10" Elliptical. Also ordered two more lower shafts to round out my collection. Can't wait to compare the 10" Elliptical against the NEL. Any thoughts on performance? Did I waste my money or not?

The 10" is a good coil although I don't use mine much as I use the 11" is open clean areas and I use the 5" in the nail infested sites. The 10" is an all around good coil to use in that it can hunt in either locations and do well. On lower coils, If you're 6 foot or more, you may want to order the Bounty Hunter lower rods. They are the same as the Fisher/Teknetic rods except they are 5" longer and they are only $9.99 at most places. I just got three of them from that big place in Florida.

Thanks for the response. I am an inch short of 6 ft and unfortunately ordered the standard fisher lower rods. I do have mine extended to the second from last hole so the longer rods may have been a better choice.

Its a great coil..definately not a waste of money

Well the 5 x 10 DD is now my main coil. Don't know if I need the 5" NEL sharp or the 11" Stock anymore. This coil is just too good for picking out the small gold stuff. Of course get used to digging nickels and a sea of small foil, pull tabs and aluminum can shrapnel. Found these gold hoop earrings clipped together in a one hour hunt at a local ball field sidelines. I dug a lot of foil gum wrappers but paid off.
