Hopefully I will have it the first part of next week. Thanks you guys for all your help.I have been a part of this forum for 6 years and I must say the guys on the Tesoro Forum are THE MOST HELPFULL AND THE MOST RESPONSIVE PEOPLE ON THE ENTIRE FORUM.Now if anyone wants to give me any pinpoint suggestions on the vaq,I have read a few reviews that said there was a learning curve to the pinpointing. Thanks again guys.HH:jump:But I would like to say thanks to 3 of my hunting heros on other forums Jim in Tenn, Revere, and mudpuppy with his 10,000 + post. And Tabman is another hero. These guys could find silver with a compass.

I don't see any problem learning good pinpointing with the Vaquero in MOST all cases you won't even need to switch to the pinpoint mode, a little X'in in disc mode and its amazing how tight of a pinpoint you'll get!

Cant wait to see your finds,

yeah, the thing with using the pinpoint button is to keep the coil MOVING. i was told that by rusty himself when i called the service department. the vaq is my first detector and it was kinda weird using it at first. everything else was simple. however, you will find that you do not need it. it zeros in just fine. i very rarely use it. almost a not needed feature. but hey, im just a regular guy, no hero. i still can manage to find some silver though. you will too. good luck...oh, get the online book, mastering the tesoro tejon and vaquero metal detectors. it's $9.99. very well worth it to read.

Thanks Rainyday I'm gonna try and order it tomorrow. Thanks again.

I've read it three times now. I really like it :)

I also recommend the book. Well written and easy to apply to the machines themselves. Really shortened my learning curve on the Vaquero.
