Ordered an X-terra 70 today so hope to be posting finds soon. Tips on operation appreciated

But don't hesitate to ask questions here. There are a WHOLE BUNCH of folks on this forum who are very well versed in the X-Terra. Again, welcome to the X-Terra forum. HH Randy

Welcome,

Seen your name kicked about.;) The FAQ at the top of the forum is a good place to start. The "old timers" seem to prefer using the Prospecting Mode for pinpointing. Some don't like the stand and modify to a wider one. The X70 is noted for stability & good manners, yet still ID'ing pretty accurately at depth. At it's price point it offers some versatility that's hard to match, and an old hat will pick it up pretty quickly. The interface is dead easy, and no nasty surprises such as sensitivity variances as disc levels are changed.

The really interesting thing about the forum is the variety of types of detecting/orists using the X machines successfully. Park pirates, prospectors, relic hunters, waders etc.

Congrats on the new X-70 and welcome to the site! It is a great machine easy to use, nice and light. It allows room to grow also with all the coils, and modes. Good luck with it and HH, Beale.

Congratulations on the purchase of a fine machine. I got my X-70 about a month ago and after reading the FAQFAQ at the top of this forum and the owners manual several times, when it arrived I found it very easy to get started. The interface has a nice flow to it.
