A week ago and they didn't come in,I called the company and they told me they where on back order.I told him they could have told me that when I order them.I told them to cancel it.
I went to Academy Sports and bought me a pair.I'll be hunting with Dave up in the mountains and he said that they had lots of snake's up there.Well knowing Dave if I get bite he will just start laughting till he cry just knowing we don't have time to get to a Doc.So I knew I had to be a little smarter then him.

Thankfully it was a bit early in the morning and this guy had not "thawed out" from its overnight sleep. I literally walked right by it, probably within 3 feet of it when I passed it and never saw it. Our friend Carol almost stepped right on it before Pam saw it and started yelling for her to stop. We all came back and I, of course, had to take a couple of pictures of it!!! It was probably at least 4 foot long, what you cannot see really well is that it is all coiled up. There was a lot of snake in a very small area.

First time I have ever been this close to a buzzworm and it could have been worse if it would have been in an agressive mood. It barely even moved when I took the pictures. It was long gone after we came back by 3 - 4 hours later, thankfully.

I was searching for a pair of snake guards and came across the following link.

http://snakeguardz.com/snakevideo.htm

When I saw this crazy guy in basically a pit of rattlesnakes getting bit on the guards, I was convinced.

So I bought a pair for Pam and me and we have already used them on a couple of subsequent mushroom hunts.
