Orange barrels, orange barrels everywhere I see

Larry (IL)

Well-known member
A city park was adding a new parking lot and I was too late before they added the rock to where they scraped off 12 inches of the dirt but I did get to the dirt piles and saved a few goodies before they truck the dirt off to who knows where. I thought this was the perfect place to use my orange construction vest....... it worked like a charm, lots of  but no one stopped me from hunting or asked questions...........

The Merc is a 1923 and the IH is a 1897, three wheats and the play knife is stamped Made in the USA...:clapping: I love the 1889 Dog Tax tag, I think that has to be my oldest dog tag.

Nice finds Larry, I would like to find a spot to find some finds. I think the sidewalk closed sign, should say "sidewalk gone".

Congrats on your finds Larry!!! Those orange cones look pretty neat.

I'll bet you were once a boy scout. You are always prepared to hunt on any occasion. It would be nice to know where that city takes their haul away dirt.
Oh and nice finds too.
Dennis

You are right Dennis, a Scout Master too. I have followed the trucks before but this place is an hour away and I can't keep track of them. Any member that wants to follow up on this site, just send me a PM and I will let you know where it is.

great finds! Funny I found a half of a play knife this month that look just like yours and it also has the usa mark on the back. Great dog tag.

Jealous of the dog tag....
