Optimum Headphones and Ohms for Infinium

Hi All,

Just wondering what might be the best headphones to get in terms of Ohms? I think the infinium produces 8 ohms is that right?

The last headphones I had were nike flight under the chin headphones which were 16 ohms and these are by far the best I have had with the infinium. Crystal clear.

Unfortunately they have died but was wondering if any one knew of similar product? Or where to get these cheap again?

Is headphones of 16 ohms the optimum for the infinium?

Any feedback appreciated

WAZ

Got no idea but my DetectorPro Gray Ghosts worked great with my Infinium.

The headphones that gets closest to matching the audio impedance of the Infinium LS, seem to be the most sensitive and works best for me.

Thanks guys.

Ivanll - are you referring to the Nike Sports headphoes as the best you have?

Or are you saying I need to get headphones that matches the audio impedance of the infinium LS?
I see the garrett land headphones for the LS are speaker impedance: 8 ohms per channel. Mono/Stereo, Frequency response: 30-18,000 Hz.

Is that what I am aiming for?

Cheers

8 ohms is good with the Inf. If you go higher than 32 the frequency response starts to sound a bit tinny and you may start to hear some strange low freq burps at the tail end of the tones.and you will begin to loose a bit of loudness.

I agree. With higher ohms my infinium had weird background hums I could hear-pulsing kinda sound not noticable with my garrett headphones (I tried greyghost,I like them for everything else)
Each there own but I agree ivanll.I would like to expierment with differant phones.I had a pair of cheap koss 32 ohm headphones that had the best sounding audio-real responsive, you could hear coins roll,I dont know how to explain it but the audio could not be matched.Still to this day I reget breaking them. With my older compass relic mag I used all-metal mode and could just hear the sound of targets and for the most part judge them with out TR disc mode.Coins just cried out to you.The grey ghost are very good with my other machines, help alot-but then i have never needed a differant pair of pro metal detector phones(they last forever!-my pair has to be 10-15 years old or so,I bought them used even)
