I think my odds are good that a few silver coins might be found here. I have hunted the church grounds next to this school for many years always believing that the grass is greener/silver on the other side, but a chained fence has been a deterrent for the several years that I have been MDing and even b4 that.
A section of the gate used to let cars/work trucks in is gone, leaving the soccer/ball fields open! I have hit the grounds two days in a row. There are no signs that say"No Trespassing",at my point of entry, but I'm being as stealthy as possible and limit my hunting time to after dinner to dusk.
I'm using the 9" 7.5 concentric coil to start.....and putting most of my effort into digging the deeper quarter signals. They are abundant from one to several inches in depth.Ten dollars worth in @ three hours, many in the 60&70's,a few nickles,dimes,....and the few pennies I dug were mostly pre 80's with 2 being wheat's.
Schools out at the end of this week so I hope to get some more hunting time in this weekend after TD Andrea gets done dumping on us here on Florida's west coast and before the gate is replaced.

Good luck! I hope the silver is in there for you.

Good luck , but if you tried that here someone would kick off .

good luck and let us know how you do, but if your finding clad quarter at least 5" deep then I would say your odds of finding silver coins is very slim. They are out of your reach. I've been to many places like that to where I have found real deep clad and I didn't find any old coins, sorry.

if you do have 10.5 " coil, I would be using that one to get as much depth as you can.

Day 3...hour and a half after dinner $8.68 coin total, ring and charm are junk(the ring fooled me till it stuck to the magnet),brass electrical item.....Still believe there's a silver something in here, 73 quarters(three day total) 12 are in the 60's......Still using the 9" 7.5 concentric. HH GL

Yeah! Those little honey holes are awesome when they are full of Q's and locked up most of the time...I tripped into one just like that last year and cleaned up just like you are doing. Its a good idea to keep an eye out for those certain spots and drive by every once in a while to see if the gate is open.:clapping:

Congratulations on all the coins. I hope you find you some silver in there.

4th day.....@2hrs this morning..using the 5X10 HF DD coil for the first time at this spot!.$11.90 in coin,34 quarters..107 quarters total so far.$30.03 total coins in 4 days.Nothing special in jewelry other than some small finds....ring is aluminum!..."Hello Kitty" is not silver! GL HH

Sounds like you are onto one of those areas like we had. My family had exclusive rights to detect a private picnic area that hosted multiple events a year for over 50 years with one of them having more the 1000 people for one annual event. This place was polluted with coins. I found over 500 cons and we had a family total in the 800's. Any coins that we found pre 1965 were either pennies of nickels. I had such high hopes for silver.

The only silver that was taken from that location was a 1964 rosie a 1960 something Canadian 50% silver dime and some nice WWII 925 pilot wings. I think I found one or two small 925 rings but nothing exciting. I seriously had a few handfuls of wheats from that place. I have more hours in that one location that any other location that I've detected at.

Hopefully you will have a little better luck and some silver will show itself but don't be surprised if it doesn't.

Good luck!!

And the 5th time is a silver pendent & ring!....got in an hour and a half at the school grounds after dinner still digging those cherry signals...$3.68 in clad,Mexico 925 12.8g Nike ring that was a good 5/7 inches down TID 44,and a 925 18KGP heart/CZ pendent TID 10....Not giving up on a silver coin yet, been passing a lot of dime signals that I'll spend more time on another day.Using the 10x5 HF DD coil. Two more days at the school yard,Friday night & this morning.....Switched coils to the 6" HF DD,not because of trash, but because the grass is tall and thick from all the rain.Sure would be nice if they mow b4 locking the gate.MDing here is a blast, lots of good targets,I have only dug several pull tabs in all the days spent and the last 2 days with the 6" coil,I've been digging low TID# and finding the jewelry..... its junk mostly, but then,it is a middle school so I don't expect a gold ring, but 2 silver so far is OK........Friday got the Aluminum ring, ray gun charm, hair clip,$5.73 clad......
This morning got $ 3.83 clad,moon/sun 925 ring, several junk jewelry chains, charms, clips, and the second half dollar I ever found,a Kennedy 1776/1976,,I uncovered one at the beach a month ago that was the first I ever found but it was a shinny fresh drop, unlike the thrill of digging one up,it was several inches down and I had no idea what it was till I got home, thought it was a token!?!?....GL HH ALL
Totals so far:
Clad...1 Sacajawea,1 Kennedy,161 quarters,62 dimes,25 nickles,60 cents(2 wheat)= $48.35
Jewelry...2 silver rings,1 silver pendent.....And a bunch of kid jewelry!!
