Opium Can?

Found these pieces in an early Chinese placer mining area in NV. They're made of thin copper with soldered seams. A & D might be tops and the other two bottoms. I enlarged the writing in case somebody could translate.
Any ideas? Thanks Dave

...below is a sketch of an opium tin relic from a mining camp in Idaho. At the link there are other interesting pictures.
I can't tell if the symbols are a match to yours, but the position in the center of the lid certainly is. You might consider taking your find to a local chinese merchant and have him translate the writing on yours. Could be chinese herbal medicine, maybe opium... very interesting!
Please let us know if you can find out more!

Hope this is of use, the following image is a partial of an image that I found in the Library of Congress

I guess I can confidently identify them as "Opium Tins". Thats a lot better than toothpaste powder tins or foot powder cans or..... You guys must be librarians or Jeopardy researchers. I'm going to the treasure chest now, maybe I'll find something else to post.
THANKS Dave

It looked pretty close to me, but figured if I cropped out the embossed label area from the hi-res TIFF image and posted it you

Here's an opium tin from the Feather River country 75 miles west of Reno.
