Thank in Advance............ how do you attach the box under the rod?
and on top of the handle also?[attachment 15261 mod1.jpg][attachment 15262 sovmod1.jpg]

Donny,

Still the best is with the GT rod in my opinion. I tired the one like the first one using the Whites XLT hip mount conversion kit and it was OK, but nothing I would use again. The bottom picture one don't look like the handle is bent at a angle to be comfortable to swing at any length of time. With the GT rod set up everything from your Elite will transferee over with no mods done to the brackets or shaft. The stock Minelab meter would be the only thing that may sit a little low and hard to see, but I believe David at Dixie sells a bracket to mount the meter on.

Thanx Rick....Im leaning GT at this time...........I'll have to address the meter mount issue in someway also.....

it's easy to do and can angle the meter for proper viewing angle while sweeping coil. And just add the piggyback Probe box if desired later.I was concerned about offset balance but it isn't bad.

Thanx so much thats the way I'm gonna go....GT upper rod & the offset ML meter mount...I kinda like the configuration of it all, strong, neat and clean......plus it seems to be the easiest coversion although I dont use the probe at this time.
I thank you sir for the pic.
I'll be callin Dixie this week........This forum is great!!
