Hello,
I'm looking to replace the coil on my Excalibur II 1000 due to the cable coating for the coil is starting to crack
I bought this unit for my Caribbean metal detecting trips. I'm thinking of going with a smaller coil on it like the Sunray S8 coil cost is around $200.00 versus the factory 800 II at around $260.00 Is there anymore options on small to mid size coils that will preform well in salt water use? I'm going to be hard wiring and not using any waterproof connectors due to my main machine is the Dual Field with it's 12 inch coil covers ground quite well. Thanks!
