I have a Cibola and am looking into getting a 5.75 coil for her. What do folks think????? I hear most like it. Just fishing for info.
Thanks
Greg

you can buy. There is no small coil and detector combo that is deeper than the vaquero or tejon with 5.75 coil. I got 14" airtest depth on a nickel in disc mode with that small coil. I know that is hard to believe but it is the way it is. The 5.75 is a must have coil.

Since you have a Cibola , another option might be to get a compadre.

A new 5" coil is about $110 shipped.

A new Compadre with 5" coil is about $150 shipped.

That's $40 more dollars than the cost of just the "5 inch coil, but you'll have a second detector.............can be used as a backup machine, friends can use it, and for the junk tight spots.

I have the Vaquero and opted for the second machine. In the short time I've used the compadre I found the compadre discriminates just as well and seems to be sensitive.

Food for thought.

I been thinking about the Cibola and looking at the Cortes, DeLeon and Vaquero. So far settling towards the Cibola. Eyes are weakening and wish the label characters were a bit larger. Reading the other replies, sounds like the 5.75 coil is a must. I have other machines but having a difficult time deciding on my first Tesoro. Whatever I decide on - I'll have to get that smaller coil to go along with the package. Hope there is more inputs on this on.

Thanks for the replies. I really think this coil would be a great addition to my arsenal!!! Hope to hear from more satisfied users.

Out of your choice the Vaquero is the deepest, Cibola second (because it has no ground balance), than Cortes and Deleon.
The Disc on the Vaquero is so good, you don't need a display. Just turn the disc with your thumb and look for the point where the target disappears.
