OPINIONS ON NEW DETECTOR

newbe

New member
I'm in the market for a new detector and I wanted some opinions on the ones I'm lookin at.In ya'lls opinion which detector stands out among these:Whites DFX300,Minelab Explorer SE,Fisher F-75,Garrett GTI 1500.As always thanks for the help...

Those are fine if your a big young buck.

But even some of those crumble under
the weight of these Joint Inflamers called
metal detectors.

I got four metal detectors.

The most expensive one listed for around
$625. I don't buy big, expensive MD's
with displays.

None of mine weigh over 2.3 pounds, unless
I put on a big coil. That can add well over a
pound. When I do that, I mount it backwards
to make it easier to swing.

I like metal detecting. Not laying up with a
sore arm and just wishing I could.

One of my best performers is 2.2 pounds
and only cost $70 used.

This ain't no joke.

You can get a brand new one with a good
life time warranty for $152.

I won't even mention the name because
few people believe that it can do anything
and don't give a second thought.

But I will tell you that I just sold $1,000
worth of gold jewelery I found in the last 7
months.

A bunch of it found with my $70 kids toy.

HH,

I know that more money doesn't mean more finds but,it does mean more options. The silver umax is a great machine but I think it's a great starter.

probably the "best damn discriminator on the market!...."short" money coin sniper!..put the "big" money detector difference in your pocket!..buy food with it!
same applies to the "silver"

(h.h!)
j.t.

To me it would seem logical to stay in the same family, maybe Vaquero with GB...less learning curve
and especially if you've already done well with the Silver...

or maybe your just ready for a change of scenery lol

ive used a lot of machines in the past.I recently aquaired a garrett 1500.Iam well pleased with the machine.Although the target imaging is not 100 per cent accurate it still will keep you from digging a lot of worthless junk.this machine is probably not the best for prospecting but if your main interest is coin shooting it is good for that.On the negative side i wish it were just a little bit lighter.
