Opinions on freq. GTI 2500

Anyone have any opinions on what freq is best to hunt with using the GTI 2500. I've been playing with it on a freq setting of 4. Haven't had the 2500 too long and trying to learn it. Mostly relic hunt around old homesites and schools, but I do hunt at times for coins and jewelry. Any and all opinions are appreciated.

The frequency changes on the 2500 will not change the way the detector searches. It's there in case you have something causing your detector to be erratic like another detector using the same frequency like another 2500 or electric fence, CB radio, Etc. You get the picture. Then you can change the frequency to help with the problem. As far as detection depth change it don't do anything.
