I would like to get a beach detector to hunt dry sand, wet sand and maybe like knee high water. Around $600 would be my limit on price range. What do you all suggest. I have a White's MXT and love it. I like a turn on and go kind of detector. tks

Do you want just a beach machine or land/beach?

If land/beach a explorer II or DFX.
If beach an excalibur 1000 Can find DFX and excalibur used for the $600.00 price. And if you get lucky the explorer II near that.
Thats my 2 cents.

I too am a lady and some of the machines are very heavy to use. The Wader is light weight and the controls are in the headphones. It is good in dry, damp, wet and water and will find whatever is there. It is a turn on and go machine. You do not have to worry if you fall over in the water because the machine is waterproof. And it is the right price...$600 range for the new 2006 version. There is an older version but there have been problems with it and it sells for less money.
