Opinions for beach hunting. F75 or C$?

cc

New member
I am going to the beach for a week in July and was wondering which detector is better for wet and dry hunting?

I'm getting to know the F75 pretty well, but have the C$ as a backup and have heard that it might be better on the beach. Unfortunately I only have room to take one detector not both. Anyone have any thoughts to share?

Thanks!:detecting:

The F75 is great in the dry sand. Using JE mode should be killer on small gold rings, & you can even play with the notches if some other trash becomes pesky.
At low tide, I would switch up to the C$ which does have a salt mode & works better in wet black sands. You may have to balance the C$ in drier sand & then walk down to the waters edge....
I HAVE made the F75 work in wet sands here, but I had to back the sensitivity down to like 50-60, switch to DE or BC, & run it with some chatter...

Bill
