How much difference does ground balancing make in the elimination of falsies? From what I

:usaflag:murfar...I agree. I'm looking forward to getting some feedback on the AT once people start getting out and putting some time in on it. It sounds like the 350 is falling out of favor with a few folks already. I'm hoping for better results from AT testers.

GB is critical in areas of high or changing mineralization. In the latter mineralization is like the grain in hardwood and can change from foot to foot. This is where one needs ground tracking that changes GB automatically to save constant retuning. If one is hunting gold nuggets in extremely hot ground all the aforementioned is absolutely critical for any kind of success.

If one is dead set on finding old coins and jewelry in a area of hot ground it is useless to hunt there without at least GB and better yet - ground tracking because about all you'll detect is the mineralization. Mineralization occurrs everywhere in the world in varying degrees from nearly none to way too much but most tectors with preset, GB ( no all metal, , or ground tracking ), done at the factory are just generally balanced to a hunk of ferrtite.
