Operation Silver Dinkie

Leslie(nova scotia)

Well-known member
From the land of the Bluenose....the "Boss" had given me a two and a half hour deadline to complete the mission. Find the dinkie and silver and bring it home. Having failed before I was taking no chances this time and loaded the trunk of Goquickski for bear with the Garrett Seahunter Mk11 and the Freedom 3 Plus! Being roughed up the night before by Bud and his crew just polished my edge.

1410 hrs Zulu....visited injured Johhny White Pail with a Tim's in hand...black...shaken not stirred. Jwp was hurt on our last mission and is not expected back in the field till the spring.

1440 hrs Zulu....arrived in the park with none of the "Usual Suspects" around as the weather was getting inclimate.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d601b3127cce8c20813f4b3800000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

1442 hrs Zulu....the horror! I was aghast at the measures the opposition had taken to prevent my mission competion. Chemical warfare.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d601b3127cce8c208126ca1100000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

1444 hrs Zulu....so much for completing the mission via the aqua route so I switched to the land. No time to smell the roses as the clock was ticking.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d601b3127cce8c2081354b3200000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

1446 hrs Zulu....began to search the water line for the dinkie which I knew to be there. My first find gave me the scoop on my sneak and peak as to it's location.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d601b3127cce8c208138ca0f00000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

1451 hrs Zulu....just when it was getting the darkest I uncovered the covert operative and the mission was halfway complete.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d601b3127cce8c20814f4b4800000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

1455 hrs Zulu...the second part of the mission would be the trickiest as I had to deal with the "Kiss of the Spider Woman" who was between each tree, in every bush on every path. This called for drastic action as I flayed, parried and slashed with my digging knife to ward the horde of 8 legged rouge agents who were trying at every turn to thwart my progress. Forced out of the woods I searched the area above the beach figuring this mission was a red herring.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d601b3127cce8c208134ca0300000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

1512 hrs Zulu....changed venue and tactics moving to the other side of the lake.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d601b3127cce8c2081334b3400000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

1533 hrs Zulu....the rough terrain was no match for this bouy who hit a few of the enemy right where it hurt....in the pocket book.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d601b3127cce8c20813d4b3a00000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

1541 hrs Zulu...then I thought I'd found the key , actually 3 of them, that I hoped would led me to the silver.<center><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d601b3127cce8c20813eca0900000016108AcM2bhk4ZN2"></center>

1610 hrs Zulu...a heavy tightness engulfed me for time had run out and I had failed...again!

1645 hrs Zulu....arrived back at HQ to face the "Boss" who was not pleased with my disappearance and was immediately demoted with extreme prejudice and sent to the kitchen to make seafood chowder and whatever other "duties" the Boss deemed suitable and necessary.

All in all a good fun outing!

Great story again, Leslie. Not sure what that swimmer's itch is, but you can keep it up there, sounds hideous!! Great finds and glad to see you didn't end up living in Fido's quarters after your last hunt, not being there to haul in the groceries is punishable by death in lots of places. You must keep "The one who must be listened to" happy!!
