Opening A Fisher 1225-X ?

Hotwire said:
How do i open my Fisher 1225-X control housing? I can hear a loose nut inside.

At the rear of the control housing they're is two small screws next to the coil connector. Those screws Do Not on the connector to the housing! they hold the board assembly to the housing.
In other words, if you remove those two screws and push on the coil connector everything slides out the front.

When you slide it apart you do have to watch the wires to the speaker and charger jack. (at least on the other 1200 series).

My 1225-X had a similar problem. Remove the large nut from the coil wire plug-in and the washer, then remove the works from the front. Battery wires will unplug and the ground is clipped under the front screw. Note the ground screw that goes thru the shaft is longer than the other shaft screw.

Funny but I had to take mine apart last night for the same problem.
