Last summer my wife wanted to go rock hunting for her flower garden project, so we jumped in the vehicle and set off, there's a dirt road close by so we took it, seen several nice sized rocks going up one of the hills, so we stopped and picked them up, got home and was looking at them and there was a fossil in one of them, she wanted to go back, so off we went, got out and started picking up the same type of rocks looking for more fossils, I was busy examining rocks, picked one up to look at it and to my surprize at looking down at where I picked up the rock, there laying right where I picked it up was a mercury dime (1942), just goes to prove the old saying leave no stone unturned.::yikes::clapping:

Unbelievable. Lucky you.

The dime was a great find, but upon researching the internet, found the fossil is a gastropod species from the Cretaceous time period, and on the internet they are selling for between $35-$40, better than my dime, looks like my wife out did me.
