While hunting this morning, I put down the detector by my side, a little closer than usual because of a nearby hedge. I reached behind me for my probe, and as I swung it around me, I accidentally hit the LCD display with the probe.
The probe put a dimple in the plastic cover that covers the LCD. It is, apparently a flexible membrane of sorts.
Question: Is this cover user replaceable? If so, has anyone on this forum done it and can explain how? Thanks.

If it's like the one on the XLT, it is user replaceable. You just carefully peel it off and put a new one in it's place.
Hope this helps,
Otto...

Thanks for your responses (Connie and WesternRelicDigger). I am glad to hear that it is easily replaceable. I'll have to take care of this after my trip.
