Only one today. But a real nice one.

If you are only gonna find one then that is a sweet one to find. Worth a lot more than any worn Barber or seated. WTG! I saw the other stuff you have been finding - looks like you are coming home with a lot of keepers. I like finding the other charms and such.

Hi Bob
Yeah I got lucky on that one. Most of the Indians that come out of this park are usually pretty roached.

Same park, close to same area, same coin. Not in as good of shape but I'll take it. Too bad the ground is starting to stiffen up. Not much time left. I'd love to be able to grid a couple more areas before the deep freeze.

Boy, Rainy.!!! Do you realize that coin is almost as old as Abraham Lincoln, or at least when he died around 1865. What a concept. I think you're doing ok hear, Rainy, just to say the least. I'll bet you can't wait to get back out there once winter is over.:|

Those are great, for sure!!!

I'm always amazed to hear folks talk about winter...frozen ground...snow...etc. Winter here is PRIME for detecting. We never have frozen ground...haven't seen snow in years (and not anxious). Anything below 85 degrees is frigid here!!! Heck, the whole town turns out just to look at any passing cloud! (Joking, but not much).

We just get covered over with Snowbirds.

Hi Marc
Well I think you and all the good folks who live in a warm climate better do alot of hunting over the winter months so us snow bound people can have some enjoyment seeing your finds and dreaming of warmer days. I'm usually in serious detecting withdrawal by February.

Hi beachguy777
It gets tougher and tougher each year to deal with winter. You start going stir crazy after awhile. Most of my fun activities are done over the summer months, so winter sure does tend to drag on to long.

Yeah, I think you're right. Sometimes we don't take advantage of the opportunities we have.

Within the past week I have been trying to get used to the Quattro. It's coming along better than I had expected! I've been researching some old railroad sites lately, and just this afternoon I located foundations for the bunkhouse and clubhouse. Both dating from before 1890, so I hope to be able to get out there Saturday and find SOMETHING! A few nice relics would be just great! Of course, I wouldn't turn down a coin or two!

BeachGuy, this is a BIG area....so if I find anything worthwhile, you better get over here in January and give me a hand!!!

When I lived in Yuma, for a while in the summer, it was hotter in the middle of the night than it ever is here in San Diego in the day time.:|

Man, I guess so, Rainy. You better book a plane ticket to Florida, before the end of the year or we might have to lock you up in the loony bin.:|

You ain't a kiddin'. Your getting my heart pounding with that railroad stuff. I can only imagine what you might find. I need to start packing.:twodetecting:
