I found so many "firsts" in July. It's so hard to believe that I, (me the one that has a blast detecting clad or skipping rocks on the water) found them. I recovered 4 different series of nickels. My first ever Shield nickel. WOW. But not one war nickel. Hopefully when we go back, I'lll find that war nickel. Also I found my first oldest coin, 1859 Indian (Fatty), Most Valuable coin is an Indian Cent(1867 EF40) Most of these finds are from the rental yard that I've told you about. I don't even know what to say........except that I doubt it will EVER happen again. Think to yourself........You will NEVER ever give up and when you least expect it........BINGO!!! You've found it!!!!

We need a lot more rain and less hot temps and humidity to get out hunting again. I wish you all the luck, knowledge and wisdom. I'm in total awe. Pinch me PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for looking and HH to all, Nancy

I have to say it again Nancy. You are a hard act to follow. Great finds. HH Dennis in Idaho

I am in awe.... Just goes to show that there are many "treasure coves" out there. And to our disbelief, it's next door. It's to the point where I have had enough. Let someone else enjoy and hopefully get some "firsts". More power to them. It's a great feeling. And YES, we will be back hunting the rental property as soon as we get some more rain and lower temps. HH to all, Nancy

You better go back and hit that place some more. My dream site happened about 5 yrs ago. I got to hunt a mansion with a 3 acre yard. The home was built in the 1870's by a former state governor and civil war general. I hunted the site for a year got a baggie full of old coins and even 2 gold rings. I had a couple of friends that also did well there. I hunted that place off and on for a year. Better take advantage of your great site Nancy, it's hard to tell if you'll ever run across another one like that.

Nancy,

I think its great you had a productive July with many firsts. You are a wonderful ambassador to this hobby and an expert moderator for the MXT forum. When you write your book "My MXT and me" I want an autographed copy! Good luck in August and beyond..

Pete

Fantastic finds Nancy, Ive had a good July this year myself.

Great Nancy!! You never know where something outstanding will show up.. My first hunt this year I found a couple of pocket spills .. One was 4 nickels in the same hole two on top of each other and two more a inch away.. Turned out to be a 1866 shield with rays and 3 V's.. The other had a buffalo.. Next day same yard two war nickels..

Nancy you took your finds to your club meeting didn't you? I was wondering if you got an award for the best finds? HH Dennis in Idaho

That was her display at the club meeting Dennis, she let me win one this month though. Thanks Hon......:cheekkiss:

This was my display http://www.findmall.com/read.php?28,779440

Nice finds Larry. HH Dennis in Idaho

Dennis, I did put the display and other coins in the FOM (Find Of the Month) where other members vote and I kicked @ss (Oops) except for the Display of the Month. The displays that Larry and I were competing along with others turned out to be a tie between Larry and I. Had to have the President of the club determine the "winner". My thought was that I could handle not winning better than Larry.:rofl: Just kidding. Well maybe????? We had a great month and it takes two to enjoy it even more so. HH to all, Nancy
