I went back to the same place as earlier, and found a Freeport Street Railway token! No idea at this point how old it is, but know it is from Freeport, IL.

Very nice find bboy. I'm a little jealous being a railfan. Someone at the Freeport Chamber office or their local historical society should be able to give you a time frame as to when the tolley ran.
Where are you at? I only live a couple hours from Freeport myself?
