Only Found One Coin ... But It Was A Good One !

Most of the hunts I go on are one to three hours long and I like hunting for old coins the most ... the older the better.
If I can find one or more 1800's dated coins or one or more silver coins on the hunt ... it was a good day !

Only had time for a one hour hunt on the 4th of July - went to a 1800's house that I got permission to hunt - only found one coin - but it was a good one !
Found this Half approx. 7" down under the roots of a big Maple tree.
I've found a bunch of Walking Liberty Half's - but this one is the oldest so far.

Happy Hunting !

 awesome!! e-trac got me a half the other day but it was just a 74 kennedy. I`ve yet to find a silver half. Congrats!

Congrats on a sweet old walker ! That coin is still one I need to find.

Great find. You hunt just the way I do. Looking for "old" coins and long hunts. We're addicted to a sound. Thanks for the pictures.

Several? Good for you.... still waiting to find one. Heck...I'm still waiting to find an SLQ and a Barber quarter. Congratulations. She is a beautiful coin!! Great effort too. I know those roots can be buggers!!!

Good.looking Walker! My favorite coin. Congrats

Nice Walking Liberty! She is in great shape for her age and would make anyone's day.

I have only found one from the teens (1918 S that had been used for a shooting demonstration and has a big dent from a bullet). Most of the ones I have found are from the 40's with a few from the 30's.

It is always fun to see a 1/6-46/47 on the screen because you know you are in for a treat in the hole.
