Yesterday morning I went out to a park. Rain was forecast, but I was able to detect for a couple hours before the rain got too heavy. Only found a couple wheats plus some clad, but one of the wheats was a first for me, a 1909 VDB. I have found a couple of 1909's before but for some reason I had a feeling this one was a VDB even before I cleaned it. It's also in pretty good shape for a dug cent, except for some crustiness around the rim. I would say it would be at least a VF if not for the slight corrosion. The VDB is also off-center, but I don't know if that is unusual. Rest of the weekend looks like a wash-out, better weather on Monday. Good luck to all.
