I think I am in hog heaven...the first part was great and now I have some more to read. I will be back later. Kelley (Texas) :)

a time that few of us have lived. It is real, not the stuff we are fed on TV. I find it extremely interesting:thumbup:

be living next...almost like living day to day just to survive. My heart sunk when someone stole all their belongings. It was sad when she had to use her ring for security on a loan. I wonder what that sailing ship looked like that she traveled on. One part of the story that confused me and I do not know if I understood it correctly...was the train put on that boat? Well, she finally found out what happened to his boat and furniture, right. Mike, this is good reading and I am enjoying it. Thanks and I will be looking forward to the next part. Kelley (Texas)

forward to reading these. Need some free time to do it. Looks like Thursday is the day, rain day. forces me indoors....So far behind here with mowing, trimming, wood, etc. 8 weeks of doing nothing was not good for my late spring plans. The pages expand up great here so no problem reading them. Tough times back then for sure, but as always, you do what you need to do. Much hardier people back then.

They sure did travel a lot....Some people live in the same place all their life. They were all over the place. Really interesting reading.

Hi Mikie,

I waited 'til you posted "the rest of the story" and now I am enjoying each page as a glimpse into a hard life typical of that era.

What a rare treat for us today to have this chance to share in these "real life" experiences as told by the person who really lived them!!

Thank you so much for allowing us to get to know this wonderful Lady!!
