I went to this park and knew it had been done over many times. But all around the park was a dirt area between the sidewalk and street and I wondered if it had ever been done. As the park dated back to about 1910 on my old maps I thought it was worth a try.
So I detected the 6 ft area all around the park - about 4 acre park. It did take some time but I dug all kinds of coins - I think about 7-8 silver and a bunch of wheats.
So if you have a park and it has an outside area like this why not try it - maybe all others were too busy getting into the main park to detect. Come to think of it - this was quite a few years back and I have - hopefully - learned more since then. I might just do it again ! Steve in so az
