One thing I truly enjoy about the Sovereign

Is being able to tell the difference between bottle tops / screw caps and copper / silver. Went to a pounded out area (had mild weather today in CT) Some spots were frozen but for the most part the area was "diggable" . I was using the 10" tornado and was running into tons of screw caps and bottle tops but then that sweet, smooth high tone appeared several time in the midst of the junk. A little mid-Winter silver cured the blues :)

Nice finds, yes the Sovereign does have a lot of good virtues. I've had a lot of success in heavy thrash with my Sovereign. Good to see someone with an early start. HH Ron

Greg,

It didn't appear to be a double die error but I'll take a closer look.

I magnified the coin 200X. Doesn't appear to be a double die  Maybe next time.
