One stinking penny:ranting:

I have been cleaning my clad so I can take them to the bank. The first batch cleaned up pretty good but there was a bunch that did not clean up very well, so I added a little vinegar which has worked for me in the past, but little did I know there was a penny in the mix. If you have never mixed in a penny with your silver clad and then added a little vinegar to help clean the touch coins you are in for a surprise. Double check you silver clad and make sure there is not any pennies in the mix before you start cleaning. Well I flushed out the vinegar and I am starting all over again with out the penny in the mix. The coins will clean up, but they will take a lot more tumbling. HH Dennis in Idaho

Bummer Dennis, you got the copper blues. I liked the picture of your mashing machine you posted the other day:thumbup:

Hate when that happens. Maybe you should reprimand your quality control personnel and dock their pay. HH to all, Nancy
