One stinking large cent..

Just kidding. I am happy I found it. Unfortunately it is probably a braided hair and not another Draped Bust like the two I found the other day just a few feet away from this one. The one Draped is 1800. The other one I can't tell.

Here is the video of finding the coin from this morning.

Hey Gary hope all is well with you. Nice job on the large cents

Thanks Jim!

Charles I haven't found a reale up here in some years now, so hopefully I am due.... The first one was in the middle of nowhere near my home and the second one was in the Hudson River. If I recall they are 1807 and 1810. Have you found any early 1700-1800s British coins down that way?

Yea that's a big let down been detecting 43 years and only found 1 then again try and find 1 where I live.WTG

Gary, I have two old homesites on my property (Near Brownwood, TX), one from the 1875 era and the other from around 1910. I'm finding British coins on both sites...The oldest so far is a 1904 large cent. I have researched the history on both of these places, and I have no idea how these coins got here.

Great find!

I'm having a tough time breaking out of the 20th century this year. Last year I already had a fist full of copper by this time! Congrats on yours!

Thanks...after cleaning it up I believe its an 1808....Maybe 09
