Headed off for the ole Military housing site this morning to see if others and myself had left anything behind. I know we have, as it is a bed of trash. Upon arriving I found it hadn't been mowed for probably near two weeks, so I opted to hunt around trees and along the foundations and driveway where the grass was less tall and thick. Around one tree got a decent hit with numbers jumping around in the low to mid 80's range. Pushed my digger in the ground and hit roots at around 3"-4." Used the pin pointer and got a decent vibration close to one of the roots. Used my screw driver to do a little careful digging and spotted the wide edge of a reeded coin. As I reached down to retrieve the quarter, noticed the silver edge of another coin on the other side of the hole. The silver lined hole yielded a 59d Washington and a 54 Rosie. Along the way I recovered 4 wheat cents, some Memorials and a few pieces of clad. The green wheatie is a 39d. The rest are 40's dates. Also dug about the smallest car I have ever recovered. It has a plastic body, but the undercarriage is metal.
I had had the large coil on from yesterday and just left it on for todays hunt. Running Pro Zero, 0 disc iron audio off and max sen. HH jim tn
