Yesterday afternoon went back to the sporting fields for an hour where I found the 1826 penny a few weeks ago. Although it's now been pushed about a bit the area was popular for shows, horse races etc during the mid to late 1800's. Most of it's under a golf course now and there's no chance of getting in there. Anyway, found one coin, I just love it when I see Victoria looking back at me. Had a couple of really deep signals that I couldn't reach with the trowel and I don't think the council would be too keen to see me walking around with a shovel. Think there's still some goodies to be had yet, just going to take time and patience....Thanks for looking........Ken.

Nice finds Ken. Been doing a bit of underwater beach detecting lately, hence posting on the beach forum! Haven't cleaned my recent finds with the Quattro, so a post is due! The site you're currently working on has been very productive for you. Lots of pre-decimal coins.

I'm not a water person. Wish i was a bit that way inclined. Couple of spots in river around here I'd like to have a look in for bottles......Ken.

Hi Ken. At a beach about 200 metres off shore while diving we found two old bottles, not a chip or break in either of them. One was the commom green champagne bottle, the other an old whiskey. There were a lot more out there, but I'm more interested in looking for embossed bottles. Still, the two I took home were nice to find.
Once found a penny pot out there!
