when I asked permission the owner told me other people have detected it, but I asked if I could have a shot at what they missed, they said sure!

I hunted for just over 5 hours today, did not find any indians, no silver at all, but I did not expect a lot, I managed 4 wheats, 1918, 1935, 1940, a unknown foreign coin dated 1916. A real cool palmolive token. That was worth the the time right there. A few buckles and other odds and ends.

see the small mashed metal thing at right side of the pic? it is actually a small childs ring, here is is after I straightened it out and shined it up a bit

A most excellent hunt for sure. The Palmolive token is a grand find but so are all the other things too. Here in se WI I hope to be able to get out digging real soon with my 70. Good to read/see your posts/finds. Best of luck in your 09 season

I'm sure that was an exciting hunt and you did find some keepers! Foreign coin looks like a French 10 Centime. HH, Mike
