One Room School house hunt & some weekend finds

My son and I hunted at a construction site. Built in 1909. Was the original highschool in the town I grew up in. I think we got here too late as there was about 4+ inches of clay over most parts. The silver dimes and wheat pennies were all found on the "edges" where the construction had not hit it. One of the wheat pennies is a "better" date - 1932D. Found 15 wheat pennies.

Also found a neat Civil Air Patrol(dates to apox. 1940s). This was the civilian volunteer branch of the air force. It is serling silver.
This is what it should look like:

All of the stuff together(about 123 coins total):

Good looking site, awesome finds. Was that when the school was built or was it moved there from another location. Alot of times they would move the schools around to accomidate population?

The school house is in it's original location. Actually, now that I think more about it, the date of the building is in the late 1800's. They built 3 new school buildings on the same lot one in 1909, one in the 20's and one in the 60's. All 4 of the buildings are still standing(3 are being used).

Wow, what wonderful finds Mirage! What is the top left relic, with the 'cup with handles'? Is it part of the object behind it? What's it made of? The top round button looking thing almost looks like an allen key for a clock. I have one that looks identical, but with the words sheffield on it. Behind it is a bit that sticks out, that's faceted, like an allen key. Just guessing here. I love the photo of the building site. It's nice to see photos from other countries. We have to use our imaginations here otherwise, so thanks for sharing.

Hey Angela. The little round button like thing is from an oil lamp. I found the other part of the lamp just couldn't fit everything in the piture. The cup with the handles has a couple tacks in the back. So it was some decorative thing nailed on some wood furniture. Maybe brass?
I am glad you liked the picture. Have one more for you. I try to bring the camera most of the time but usually get to caught up in the hunt to take pictures.:detecting:
