Dug this New Years Weekend in a field that has been giving me some great finds. Didn't realize what it was at first. Thought it was a token until I took a toothpick to it.
 
That's a great find! to me it looks as if it was almost close to mint when it was lost many yrs ago. Just been in the ground forever. Tooooo cooool
 
Thanks guys.... There is a ton of detail on the coin.... Soil just wasn't very kind to it. I don't think it was in circulation long.

Congratulations on your 2 Cent Piece! Interestingly, the 2 Cent Piece was the first U.S. coin to bear the motto " In God We Trust" . Great find and indeed a nice coin. Best of luck and...
