There were some interesting responses..several had found weapons and two or three claimed to have found dead people. Anybody have a good story to pass the time?

on the way to the mail box, I found a buffalo Nickel on my front porch  I don't know who it belongs to and don't know how they drove off without there car keys  I drove up and down the street trying to unlock someones car

I have a mail ma'am not a mailman  It's not hers, the only other delivery people was UPS that brought my Ace 350 that I know of.

Maybe it was a gift from the "key fairy". HAA. You should send that to Vaughan Garrett for the Find Of The Month and win a new Pro Pointer. How weird s it to find a set of keys and a Buffalo nickel on your front porch?

Let see I found a religious cross, earring posts,a ASP police baton, few coins, a pocket knife left on a picnic table, a 2 pound sledge hammer, a lost wallet,a cell phone returned it to owner. And just the other week a 1912 nickel laying on top ground in a park.

I have found nothing interesting sitting on top of the ground.

I did find a money clip that is made out of a gold plated Kennedy Half Dollar... in a garbage can.

While detecting a 8 meg sony camera in the grass.

While detecting an old park in the middle of a nearby town, I found a ziplock bag with several small "stamp sized" ziplock bags in it. It had been there a while, but I was pretty sure of what it was. I had an officer come by and check it, and he said there were several hundred dollar's worth of crack in the bag! Needless to say, I donated my find to the police department.

Similar to the one in the photo. It was made from metal for someone who had lost a leg from the knee down, and had a sock and shoe on it. It was in a gravel parking area at an old country church. I left it, but went back several hours later to see if it was still there and it was gone.

A couple of .58 minnie balls at a civil war campsite. They had been dug and left in the dirt pile, someone must have had heavy pockets.
