This camera has MANY of the desired bells and whistles...primary features are 30X optical and 18.2MP...it has a built in GPS to let you know where you were when you took the picture...you can take pictures in 3D (gotta have a 3D capable TV ) of course it will take panoramic pictures and movies...great macro feature as well...those are just a few features...check th elong list of features....the price is pretty good....free shipping too..
the camera has a ton of features...look at the page if you think youre leaning towards a point and shoot....look at the **customer** reviews and the other similar cameras available...and its a SONY

In the reviews there are some unhappy customer (there is always some) and i caution you that this is NOT gonna be the camera that will fit in your shirt pocket and it uses a sony battery not AA or AAA etc...

wished most of them had filters built in.......pretty soon theyhll have one with an MP3 player built in....

I mentioned Canon and I am aware the Panasonic LUmix FZ70 has one with the 60X Optical !!! im sure there are others

i cant help wondering where it all ends in the telephoto department
