At one of my homesite digs this past year, near an old federal road,at about 6 inches down, dug this Templar Knights english mid 1800's Belt Buckle. It was in great shape and found out in my post, someone with the smarts, gave me a webb site, with picture and history. You never know what you are going to dig.The buckle was used as a Shriner's sword belt ,usually in parades.Sent it off to a researcher and it was confirmed mid 1800's templar Knights sword belt beltbuckle. The belt wasn't with it when it was lost,or it dissolved over the years, the picture shows chains with it,but they weren't around at the time of the find either.Well a memorable dig, thought i would share to the relic hunters.Found a dropped 3 ringer 58 caliber from the civil war on same dig.
