Star sapphires are usually man made but the colour is lighter than normal so it may be the McCoy. If it is real, that is a very valuable find.

Star sapphire is man -made - according to the jeweler; side stones sometimes read "diamonds" ...sometimes read "moissanite" on my unreliable diamond tester. Someday soon I will have to have these side stones identified by a professional.

No K stamp on inside band; Jeweler says it is 14K ....man -made star saphire;

I have to take it back to the jeweler for stone testing; My diamond tester seems unreliable; one time the stones test "diamond" and another time test "moissanite"...
