One Of Each...With A Nice Dime

Interesting day yesterday. My wife had to attend a couple of professional seminars in a nearby town, so, on my day off, I accompanied her to the town. Not to be a pest and interfere with her learning, I sacrificed and brought along the AT Pro and 5"x8" coil. Hit a local park for an hour and a half and managed an 186(5?) Shield Nickel, a well-worn 1866 Indian Head, a (gold gilted?) button, and mounds of clad. I was finishing up and heading slowly to the car, when a maintenance man drove up in an ATV and stated that I need to stop; the cops don't want people MD'ng in the park. No problem I stated with my pockets weighed down and full of treasure. Got home and still had the itch. Went to the old baseball field behind a local church for an hour and pulled some Wheats along with a beautiful 1842-O Seated Liberty dime. Wow! IMHO, it's in F - VF condition and, despite the gold and silver rings I found this year, is probably one of my favorite finds this year.

WTG on the dime and all the clad and other nice coins. Too bad the park guy didn't want you hunting there. I was metal detecting in a small city tot lot and here comes a police officer and we talked about 45 minutes and he was as nice as could be. He even told me about an old school that I didn't know about. I thought he was going to tell me I couldn't detect there, but just was interested in what I was finding.

Excellent finds, and that dime is magnificent on many levels. :clapping:

That's great coinshooting! The '42 O sure is a VF. I recall from your posts where you are located but that park, try and find the real skinny re any ordinances. Hopefully the maintainer was just saying that as a way to scoot you out? Through could be another case of people leaving holes and ruining it for the rest of us.
Shield 5C are plain scarce under the coil. WTG :clapping:!

AJ, you are an example for all of us - both in your beautiful finds and by your selfless sacrifice in skipping the seminar and doing your part to keep the earth free of metal hazards! :please:
