Don't get too stuck on the ID notches. The oxides on a target and the type of ground the target is laying in will allow the ID to drift a notch or two either way. The notches and target icons or numbers are only a probability. If it sounds good, dig it!
Yes! 10k gold rings fall here-foil region. I set up my Customs mode by copying the Coins mode and ADDING this notch.. It allows me to hunt in tab infested areas with a slightly greater chance of finding gold. Sometimes, if in a hurry, I only dig these foil signals if they have a full sound and not just a quick, short signal.
