One nice thing about the Excalibur...

As I was heading toward The Shore, the weather began to take a turn for the worse. Any other detector and I may have turned back. But no flashes of lightning or rumbles of thunder, so I parked the car and headed for the beach. As I turned on my detector, the skies opened up and the beach-goers began to flee, leaving just me and the beach!

That is a nice feeling knowing that our equipment is safe. It happened to me at Wildwood. That looooong beach. Rain clouds moved in. No way were we getting off that beach before we got wet. I had the Excalibur at the time and never worried about it.

Excellent advice...I forgot to separate the shaft when I cleaned her up yesterday. I will do it now!

It must have fallen off her toe when she was fleeing the storm

Dunno about detecting amongst lightning though :surprised:

Ocean water temps are great right now too so you can wade in with just shorts. Temps usually hold up through Sept here:thumbup:
