One Nice Cutlass II !

Woodchuck

New member
Picked up a nice under the arm box Cutlass II in mint condition from Prospector. It had the nice 7" concentric solid coil on it. Boy its one sweet little detector with that coil.Took it for its maiden voyage in a local park here, man did I pay for in this heat came back drenched in sweat. But what little while i was out It was worth it,to play with a new to me detector. I hunted for surface clad, wasn't about to do any digging. I must say I was quite please how the Cutlass II performed in the VA soil here. It sounded off quite well on the clad,I could tell tabs by the higher pitched sound. And could distinguish other rubbish well also. I was using it at disc 3 and it was hitting nickels nice and hard. I was pleased how the 7" coil allowed me to get up real close to playground metal poles etc. And I had no problem hunting around chain link fences too.its a nice light detector to,my wife said she would be able to use it.And my wife has degenerative disc back also. She was surprised how light it was.So all in all its a keeper if you can get your hands on one grab its a sweet little detector.
