One More Silver Today

RLOH

Well-known member
I am recently retired and I hunt for at least five hours per day, weather permitting. I am finding a silver coin almost every time out with the F75 and today's coin was a no date standing liberty quarter. I wish I could say I found it at 10 inches deep, but that is not the case. What is the case is it was found in a trash infested park buried in tabs and beaver tails. It was only two inches deep and I popped it out with my screw driver. We all have to remember to not get careless. Just when you think older coins have to be 8 or 9 inches deep, this happens. I also found a couple of deep wheaties. The speed of this detector is incredible! R.L.

You are nailing those silver coins my friend !!

Goes to show that depth isn't everything. Seperation and good ID are just as important in these trash covered sites. Sounds like are really enjoying your retirement RL. I did the same about 8 months ago. Been out maybe 6 times since last Oct. think I have more stuff going on now then when I worked full time. Keep pounding that silver.

Nice find RL, even with no date. One silver coin per outing is my goal, as well. Unfortunately:shrug: that is not always the case. HH jim tn

Is your depth on pinpointing coming up accurate? Mine seems to be consistently off 2 to 3 inches. If I was popping my coins it would be hard to judge just how deep to probe for them.

Has anyone ever tried hunting in 5 to 10 range....and how did it go if you did..

I use 6 and notch out crap that gets in the way usually high and low tabs. I havent found silver yet but I feel confident that I will. I agree with you Rloh. I popped out an 1893 V nickel at 3 inches recently. I was shocked. TMAN...
