I have to go back to work on Monday. Just 12 more work weeks to go. Then i'll be my own boss (when Julie isn't around).
I went over to a lake in central Iowa yesterday. burned a tank of air and got the 10K black hills gold ring. The water was not bad, but I've lost so much weight that water was coming up my sleeves and getting in the neck area of my suit.
By the time I was down to 900#, I was almost shivering. Got out and went home.
The blue Astro van is my former treasuremobile, I got it about three years ago. it gets 20 MPG driven conservatively.
The red one I got a few days ago. it's a 93 Ford Festiva. I drove it 201 miles, then topped it back off with 4.5 gallons of gas.
Needless to say, at 43.5 MPG, this is the new treasuremobile.
A trip to a beach around here can easily run 2-3 hundred miles.
So, time to break the detectors down for a while, go back to the plant and finish up my work career.
I am SOOO excited, I feel like the guy in Shawshank Redemption who escapes from prison!!

congreads on ur up comming step into the light of retirement, i did it in 99 an haven't looked back, only to see how much i have enjoyed the NEW journey of retirement have i peaked backwards.
