I got out early and hunted for about 3 hours. I did find out that I still have a lot of targets in this area and will be trying the 5 inch coil to see what I can find. Any clue what you would dig looking for gold rings ? I have found a load of junk....but no gold to say for sure dig this.

Looking for gold inland is tough. Digging junk is the way to go; there's no "shortcut" that I know of other than digging the junk.

Gold is tough to find for sure. Keep at it!

Hey Jim,
Gold can pop up about anywhere on your VDI. This makes it tough to find. I have found a few gold rings but have dug a ton of pop tabs. The women's thin gold bands can come in really, really low. About all you can do is dig the low repeatable signals and keep your fingers crossed. It is always a thrill to see gold in the hole.
