My first Musket Rifle after 15 years of diggin CW relics....YEEEHAAA!! Back at the bulldozed camp more trees have fallen and about an hour before dark I located a trash pit. The majority of whats pic'd came out of it...notice the Colt 45 trigger guard and bullets to match...if I go back this evening and dig the Pistol I'm sure you will here my Rebel yell all the way from Va. Hopefully there will be an update to this. Thanks for looking and good luck in Your Digs.
Dave

Believe I got my 2nd KG ll copper from this site. If I can stand to put the shovel down for one evening, I'll do some cleaning for a better pics. Thanks again for looking.

Keep looking dont worry about cleaning till you get it all dug up...d2

Thanks Dale,
Actually dug around it for a 1/2 hour before I really believed I had what I had, I've been fooled many many times by farm junk and such.It became evident when I recognized the ram-rod.Can't wait to start cleaning on it tomorrow, of course after a couple more hours back out there in the morning.
Thanks again
Dave

1857 Seated...looks like she'll clean-up real nice, a couple Eagle, state seal N.Y, and Eagle Infantry buttons. Hopefully at least one of the buttons have some gold gilt left on it.

Found it in the pit the next day. Thanks for looking

What part of Virginia do you hunt? I hunt around Manassas and sometimes out towards the valley.
